Carsten Eckert has been building up an investment portfolio with a focus on start-ups in the DACH/Europe regulated financial services sector for more than a decade. In addition to his investments, he is frequently involved as a senior advisor, board member or managing director.

Previously, he acted as CEO of KGAL in Grünwald, CEO Institutional Business and Pension Markets for Allianz Global Investors in Munich and Frankfurt and, after being trained as a banker in Hamburg and trainee in corporate lending, assistant to the Member of the Board Corporates & Capital Markets, Director Corporate Finance, Managing Director HVB Pension Consult and the HVB Asset Management Holding in Munich.

Carsten holds a degree in business administration (Dipl. Kfm / MBA) from the University of Hamburg as well as various additional qualifications (e.g. Ruhr University, Cambridge and S-7 NYSE). He was and is a regular invited speaker at conferences and co-author of specialist books and a member of the ABA's Fachausschuss Kapitalanlage and serves on the Board of the Club of Finance.
